Getting Started

Getting Started

The prep report is where kitchen and care staff view all meal orders in one place. Use it to prepare meals and deliver food to residents.

What is the Prep Report?

The prep report shows all orders collected from residents for a specific meal service (breakfast, lunch, dinner, etc.). You can see what needs to be cooked, how many portions to prepare, and where meals need to be delivered.

Accessing the Prep Report

  1. From the main menu, select Prep.
The prep report opens showing today's orders for the current meal service.

Two Ways to View Orders

The prep report has two views. Switch between them using the buttons at the top:

Meals View:
  • Groups orders by menu item (e.g., all chicken schnitzel orders together)
  • Shows tallies for each meal
  • Best for cooking and preparation
  • Lets you see recipes and adjust quantities

Orders View:
  • Lists individual resident orders
  • Shows everything each resident ordered
  • Best for plating and delivery
  • Lets you mark meals as delivered and add notes

Idea
Tip: Use Meals view when preparing food in the kitchen. Switch to Orders view when plating individual meals for delivery.

Quick Stats

At the top of the prep report, you can see:
  • Total number of residents in the facility
  • Number of orders collected for this service
  • Number of orders delivered (Orders view only)
These numbers update based on any filters you apply.

By default, the prep report shows today's orders for the current meal service. You can change the date or meal service using the controls at the top. See Navigating and Filtering the Prep Report for details.
