Printing and Exporting Menus

This article covers how to print weekly menus for display in your facility and how to export menus to CSV format for use in spreadsheets.

Printing Weekly Menus

Print weekly menus for posting in dining areas, resident rooms, or distributing to family members and staff.

How to Print a Menu
  1. Go to the Plan page
  2. Navigate to the week you want to print
  3. Click the More option (three-dot menu in top right)
  4. Select Print Menu



Print Options

Meal Services
  • Select which services to include (at least one required)
  • Tip: For best readability, limit to 3 services or fewer

Show Textures
  • Include the available IDDSI texture levels on the menu (e.g., "PU4, "MM5", "SB6")
  • Useful for dining room displays, staff reference, and audits

Show Dates
  • Include a date header (e.g., "16 Feb - 23 Feb")
  • Useful for weekly displays; omit for repeating template menus

Paper Size
  • A4: Standard size, good for 1-2 services
  • A3: Large format, better for 3+ services or dining room displays

Printing
  1. Click Print to open your browser's print dialogue
  2. Set Margins to None for best results
  3. Match the Paper size to your selection above
  4. Click Print
The printed menu shows the week date range, selected meal services organised by day, and IDDSI texture codes (if enabled).


Exporting Menus to CSV

Export menus to CSV format for use in Excel, Google Sheets, or for sharing with dietitians, procurement, and other stakeholders.

How to Export
  1. Navigate to the week you want to export
  2. Click More (three-dot menu in top right)
  3. Select Export CSV
  4. The file downloads automatically (format: `Menu - [Date].csv`)

What's Included

The CSV export contains:
  • Week date range and menu title
  • All enabled meal services
  • All days (Monday through Sunday)
  • Meal items with type, name, and IDDSI texture codes
You can open the CSV in Excel or Google Sheets.
