Regular Order Items

Regular Order Items

Regular order items are meals that a resident likes to have on a recurring basis. Set up regular items to save time during order collection. The item will automatically appear on the selected days.

For example, if a resident has porridge every morning, you can mark it as regular. The porridge will appear on their order for every day (or specific days you choose). You can still skip it on individual days if needed.

Before You Begin

  • You need to be on the resident's order page
  • The resident should have at least one meal item already added

Make an Item Regular

  1. On the resident's order page, find the item you want to make regular.
  2. Select the three dots next to the item.
  3. Select Make this regular.
  4. Choose which days of the week the item should appear:
    • All days are selected by default
    • Unselect any days the resident doesn't want this item
    • At least one day must be selected

  1. Select Done.
The item now shows the word "Regular" with the selected days. A thick grey line appears on the left side of the item.

How Regular Items Work

Across multiple days:
  • The regular item automatically appears on the selected days
  • Any customisations (portion size, texture, notes) are saved
  • You can view the item by changing the date on the resident's order page

Visual indicators:
  • "Regular" label with day abbreviations (M, Tu, W, Th, F, Sa, Su)
  • Thick grey line on the left side of the item
  • If the item appears on all 7 days, only "Regular" is shown (no day abbreviations)

Skip a Regular Item

You can skip a regular item on any specific day.
  1. On the resident's order page, select the date you want to skip.
  2. Find the regular item.
  3. Select the three dots next to the item.
  4. Select Skip.

The item now shows with strikethrough text and says "(skipped)". The item will still appear on other days.

To unskip an item:
  1. Select the three dots next to the skipped item.
  2. Select Don't skip.

The item returns to normal display.

Change Regular Days

You can change which days a regular item appears.
  1. Find the regular item on the resident's order page.
  2. Select the three dots next to the item.
  3. Select Change regular days.
  4. Select or unselect the days you want to change.
  5. Select Done.

The item now appears on the new days you selected.

Remove Regular Status

To stop an item from appearing automatically:
  1. Find the regular item on the resident's order page.
  2. Select the three dots next to the item.
  3. Select Remove as regular.

The item is removed from all future days. It stays on today's order if you already added it for today.

Info
Note: Removing regular status is permanent. You need to make the item regular again if you change your mind.

Tips

  • Regular items work best for items that are on the menu every day, like continental breakfast items, drinks, or sandwiches. If an item is not on the menu for a particular day, it won't appear on the resident's order.
  • Customising a regular item (e.g. portion size or custom instructions) will update it for all future occurrences.
  • Always check with the resident even if they have regular items. They may want something different that day.
