Embrayse notifies all users when a resident profile is created or updated, so the kitchen and care staff are always aware of the latest dietary information.
Tip: Make it a habit to check the notifications panel before each meal service to catch any recent changes to resident dietary profiles.
Where to Find Notifications
The bell icon in the top navigation bar shows your notifications. A red dot on the bell indicates there are notifications you haven't viewed yet.
Select the bell to open the notifications panel.
What Triggers a Notification
A notification is sent to all users when:
- A new resident is added to the system
- A resident's dietary profile is updated (e.g. a change in allergies, food texture, or medical conditions)
Note: If you have a clinical system integration, notifications are also triggered when changes sync in from your clinical system.
Reading a Notification
Each notification in the panel shows:
- The notification message (e.g. "Welcome to resident Jane Smith" or "Dietary profile updated")
- The name of the staff member who made the change. If you have set up integration with your clinical system, you will see Integration Service or Public API User instead.
- How long ago the change was made (e.g. "2 hours ago")
Notifications remain visible for 7 days regardless of whether they have been viewed.
Viewing the Resident's Profile
Select any notification to go directly to that resident's profile. The notification is marked as read automatically.
Read Status
Read status (red dot next to each notification) is tracked per user account. If your facility uses a shared service account across multiple devices, keep in mind that a notification marked as read on one device will appear as read on all devices logged in with that account.
