The Insights Overview page gives you a summary of your facility's residents and food service performance. Use it to spot trends in resident satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.
To open Insights Overview, select Insights from the main menu, then select the Overview tab.
Note: The data shown is for your currently selected facility. If you manage multiple facilities, use the dropdown in the top-left corner of the app to switch facilities.
Resident Stats
At the top of the page, six tiles show a snapshot of your current resident population:
| Tile | What it shows |
|---|
| Residents | Total number of active residents |
| Avg. daily orders | Average number of meal orders collected per day |
| Special diets | Number of residents with a special diet requirement |
| Allergies | Number of residents with one or more recorded allergies |
| Texture mods | Number of residents requiring texture-modified food or drink |
| Medical conditions | Number of residents with a recorded medical condition |
Service Check-in
Below the stat tiles, the Service Check-in section shows aggregated feedback from all check-ins submitted over a selected time period.
Changing the Time Period
By default, the section shows data from the last 30 days. To change this, use the date range selector at the top of the section. Options include:
- Last 7 days
- Last 14 days
- Last 30 days
- Individual months going back 6 months
Rating Charts
One chart is shown for each active check-in question. Each chart displays the distribution of ratings across all submissions in the selected period as a percentage breakdown.
Ratings are colour-coded from red (Very poor) through to green (Very good), so you can see at a glance which areas are performing well and which need attention.
Tip: If one question shows significantly more red than others, that area may need attention – for example, low scores for meal variety could indicate the menu needs refreshing.
Note: The questions shown in this report are specific to your facility. Common questions cover areas like taste, food temperature, and staff service, but your administrator selects which questions are active from a library of options. See Configuring Check-in Questions for details.
Total Check-ins by Day
A bar chart showing how many check-ins were submitted on each day in the selected period. Use this to see whether feedback is being collected consistently.
Residents Surveyed
A donut chart showing how many unique residents have been checked in with during the selected period, compared to the total number of residents. Use this to identify whether check-ins are being collected broadly or only from a small group.
Individual Submissions
Below the charts, a table lists every check-in submission in the selected period. Each row shows:
- Name – the resident's name
- Comments – any comments recorded during the check-in
- One column per active check-in question showing that resident's rating
- Service – the meal service and date the feedback relates to, with a link to the resident's order for that day
Sorting Submissions
Use the Sort by dropdown to change the order of submissions:
- Date – most recent first (default)
- Name – alphabetical by resident name
- Comments – submissions with comments appear first
- Rating – one option per question, sorted from lowest rating to highest
Tip: Sorting by Comments is a quick way to review all written feedback for the period in one go.
